Houston, TX

Yesterday I arrived in Houston, Texas. I hooked up with Dave right away and he took me to one of the nice antennas in the area. This jump was one of the most scary things I've ever done. We had to climb the whole antenna with was about 1900 feet with just one ladder straight up! We also had to do this at night and we saw the whole town surounding the antenna. Can't believe last time I was this scared, but when we finally got to the top the jump was great :)

Moab

I have just been four days in Moab, Utah for the Turkey Boogie. Moab is a fantastic place with very nice scenery. The place is perfect for many extreme sports and it had many nice cliffs to base jump off. I got six jumps on these days and met many cool people. With that many (about 80) base jumpers on one place it is bound to happen something. In 24 hours we got three cliff strikes, and that is a bit too much for my taste. On friday we spent two hours carrying a guy with a broken pelvis down the tallus (maybe at 61 years you shouldn't be doing base jumping) and my arm was so hurt after that so I took the next day off from the jumping.

Now I'm somewhere in Colorado eating breakfast on a SubWay and is on my way down to Houston and maybe even Mexico. I'll keep you updated :)

Twin Falls, Idaho

Today I arrived in Twin Falls. This is a beautifull, little town with a huge bridge (500 feet). I took it slow today and only did three jumps, but going at it strong tomorrow. I'm probably staying here untill Wednesday. The town loves base jumpers, so we get discounts everywhere :) Now, I'm heading out for a couple of beers and something to eat together with some of the other base jumpers :)

Utah

I've just arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah. The scenery is beautifull, but I haven't had time to really check it out yet. I'm a bit tired after a long travel, so I have just packed my parachute and I'm about to sleep now. Tomorrow I'm going to Twin Falls to base jump :)

Hi again. Way too long time since my last posting. The summer has been great, I've done a lot of base jumps and even tried by Vampire V1 from a cliff. It rocks. I don't bother to write more about my summer/fall now. Believe me, it was great :)

Sunday I'm heading for the US to do more base jumping. I'm landing in Salt Lake City on Sunday evening and heading straigt to Twin Falls. I'll try to keep you posted...

I was at Voss during the Ekstreme sports week and I had a blast. I only did two jumps, one from a plane, the other from a mountain but it was two good jumps and a lot of other stuff happened. I was at concerts both on Friday and Saturday. Friday was DeLillos, this was one of the best concerts I have ever been on. On Saturday I saw both Big Bang and Timbuktu. I also met a nice girl who just had stole 5 kg of cheese at the local hotel :) I'm meeting her again tomorrow...

And Thursday I'm off to Kjerag again :)

Kjerag

I'm just back from a weekend in Kjerag . We had some bad weather, but got one jump today. It was my first base jump in a long time (a two-way with Stenis) and it was great. I tried my new tracking pants from Phoenix. They worked very good and I'm looking forward to test them more.

Back from Florida

Permalink - Sunday 10. Apr 2005 @ 15:46

I'm back from my vacation in Florida. I had a great time and did 30 skydives. 27 of them was with wingsuit (thanks to Jan Terje for lending me his Bird-Man GTI) and a learned a whole lot. I did join a 28-way wingsuit formation from two planes. That was really cool. I also did my first jump from a hot air baloon. At the end of the Z-flock boogie I also won 50% off on a Phoenix Vampire V-1 wingsuit :)

Now I've been back at work for a week... I need a new vacation soon :)

Guestbook scripts?

Permalink - Wednesday 9. Feb 2005 @ 14:33

Today I found something weird. I was looking at my statistics and some guy had this page http://www.deja.pl/ksiega123.html as a referrer. When I started to check the page more thoroughly I found that this was a list of links to different guestbooks. After checking out some of the guestbooks they all have the same message. It looks like someone has made a script (or maybe even is doing it manually) to add greetings to guestbooks. I know people do this in order to promote theire own web site, but this greeting doesn't include a link so it can't be of promoting reasons the user does this.

I wonder why he does this...

Life in Oslo

Permalink - Monday 17. Jan 2005 @ 18:07

It's been a long time since I wrote something here last time and a lot has happened. I'm not going into details of everything but the biggest thing is that I'm now working full time in my own company and everything is going very well. I'm having a good time here in Oslo and looking forward to the summer :)

More to come...
